Bikoi Day 1: Ruatoki to Whakatane
Beautiful sunny day, good time made from Ruatoki down to Whakatane in the morning.
A stop off at Tuhoe's new facility in Taneatua. Val watched the Waiariki seat debate on Maori TV last night and whole-heartedly supports the Mana candidate for Waiariki, Annette Syke's, call for the Urewera National Park to be returned to Tuhoe.
Tomorrow (Wednesday 9th November) looking forward to the Kutarere to Opotiki leg.
Bikoi Day 1: The journey begins

Cycling across the electorate to raise awareness of Mana's policies, Val and his team will be posting regular updates on his trip and the campaign as it continues to election day, 26th November 2011.
